Turkish Delight

So my kids and I are reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I decided we would have a fun day and make the treat that Edmund LOVED so much. The recipe calls for flavorless gelatin, lemon extract, nuts, and sugar. We had fun cooking, but it smelled and LOOKED terrible. After putting TONS of powdered sugar on it, I wasn't sure if even I was going to eat it. After hearing most of my kids really liking it, I tried some too! It wasn't terrible. Sticky, sweet, but not terrible.
